Coundoul, Dame

Dame Coundoul (Nguith, Senegal, 1981) is a young Senegalese artist who works with recycled materials. In his works skillfully combines the culture of his native country with European abstraction. In his stylized sculptures interprets the colorful features that differentiate the tribes of Africa.

Dame studied at the National School of Art in Dakar, Senegal awarded with honorable mention. He has taught numerous workshops on Arts Education in Spain and in Colleges of Dakar. He  has received several awards for his sculptures.


His works has been in exhibitions in Dakar, Madrid, Marbella and Los Angeles.
